The Union Pacific Railroad Museum displays the corporate collection of the historic railroad company, including exhibits of railroad artifacts like surveying equipment. The museum is located in the historic Beaux Arts-style Carnegie Library building that formerly housed the state's largest Carnegie Library.

This aviation museum is operated by the Great Plains Wing of the national Commemorative Air Force preservation society. Open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday year round, the museum showcases over 1,200 WWII artifacts such as Rolls Royce engines, air corps uniforms, personal effects donated by American G.I.s, books, pictures and more. Entrance to the museum is by voluntary donation.

Built as a passenger depot for the Rock Island rail line in 1899, this historic building now houses a railway museum, gift shop and model train display. A combined entrance ticket for the museum and the Squirrel Cage Jail is available.
